Advisory Council
Caroline Berube (2009-13, Professional Programs)
My experience with IBLC members has been phenomenal, allowing me to meet very knowledgeable, dedicated and very friendly lawyers and to exchange ideas on various legal issues we all face as lawyers with an international practice. My goal as an Advisory Council member remains that each member understands the other members’ practices and expertise in their respective jurisdictions in order to capitalise on our worldwide legal knowledge and to refer business to each other with the objective of keeping our clients’ happy. By meeting regularly, organising joint seminars, publications and brochures and by having small groups discuss our respective practical cases, we are getting close to meeting my objectives for the Council.
Riccardo G. Cajola (2008-12, Membership)
Serving on the Council for almost four years now, I am pleased with how the group has been able to grow, bringing in very reputable new members with expertise in regions and practice areas that our clients need.
Hiba I. Husseini (2011-13, )
My aims as a member of the Council would be to serve current members and continue to build and expand existing networks; ensure that all members are active and enjoy the benefits of the IBLC; and expand our membership base to other jurisdictions especially the Middle East, India and Turkey.
Philip Jenkinson (2011-13, )
The IBLC provides the possibility of high level intellectual exchange in regard to international legal issues as well as (more prosaically) stimulating interesting referrals between members. It is a first class network with which my practice has been proud to be associated for many years. Having been granted the honour and privilege of joining the Advisory Council in September 2011, I shall do my absolute best to contribute to the continued smooth running of the IBLC and strive to live up to the high standards set by those who have gone before me.
Jim Zipursky (2008-12, Corporate Group)
It is an honor for me to be elected by my peers to serve on the Council. The IBLC is a fantastic organization; it fosters not just the referral of business among member firms, but the interchange of ideas and relevant discourse on the issues we face daily. IBLC member firms are quick to assist one another; membership in the IBLC brings immeasurable benefits to each of us. The depth and breadth of experience of IBLC members is unparalleled. As a member of the Advisory Council, my goal remains to continually help to build and develop our organization.

The IBLC Advisory Council advises on the administration and aims of the IBLC, in particular the admission of new IBLC members, programs and venues for IBLC meetings, the constitution of representative committees with specific mandates, and revisions of the IBLC Charter. It consists of five councilors, serving two-year terms pro bono consortio.

Chairperson
Robert A. Solomon

The IBLC Chairperson, appointed by CILS on the recommendation of the Council, presides at Council meetings and the IBLC’s annual general meeting and provides representation, leadership, and general marketing and management coordination for the IBLC.
